About the Show
High Flying Lights is a community holiday light display in Weddington, NC, located in the fly-in, fly-out neighborhood of Aero Plantation. The name comes from our aviation-themed community — and rumor has it that during the Christmas season, Santa himself makes a quick landing on our runway before taking off again into the night sky!
The show’s mascot, Pepper — our rescued pup — is always on the lookout for Santa’s sleigh and loves greeting visitors from her spot near the display.
Music is broadcast locally on 92.5 FM and streamed via PulseMesh so you can enjoy perfectly synced audio from your car or phone. Our display features tens of thousands of lights, sequenced to a wide range of music — from classic holiday favorites to current hits and recognizable pop‑culture tracks. Every effect is programmed to the beat, creating an immersive sound‑and‑light experience that’s fun for all ages.
